| Israel concluded peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan over thirty years ago which are still intact. Israel was about to normalise relations with Saudi Arabia until the war in Gaza interrupted the negotiations (specifically when the BBC and Jeremy Bowen in particular falsely accused Israel of an attack on a Palestinian hospital). The problem is Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, all of whom want to see the destruction of the State of Israel. The Israelis know that a final victory against all these enemies is virtually impossible, so they make do with partial victories which allow them to survive for the moment. |
