| Yes, Robert, estimates on the number of murders of protesters varies, if you’re struggling to get your head around this, Wikipedia could enlighten you. My point is that estimates vary because the Iranian regime, like Netanyahu in Gaza, do not allow the press or any independent agencies in to verify the numbers. I think we all agree that the Iranian authorities treat protester’s appallingly. Where, perhaps, we differ, is whether this illegal attack on Iran is motivated by genuine concern for the treatment of the protesters, or if the murder of them is used as a cynical cover to justify the attack. Threatening to bomb them back into the stone ages doesn’t sound like much of a helping hand to me. |
