| I turn out of Sefton St into the LRR every morning and the traffic is nose to tail and travelling at very slow speeds, much slower than the cyclists. I have never seen anyone speeding down the LRR.. there are also at least three pelican crossings in constant use, so there is no time to speed up. When I turn into Sefton St in the evenings, 9 times out of 10 there is a pedestrian or jogger, sometimes mums with small kids, cheerfully stepping into the road across the top of Sefton St without even thinking about looking round to see if there is any traffic turning in. This means that I have to stop in the LRR, sometimes suddenly, with all the other traffic up my behind. When did pedestrians stop bothering to look before crossing .. because that is mainly the case now. |
