| Well, I'm please to see we're all moving closer together on this.... But I don't agree entirely with your apparent belief that pedestrian casualties are caused by the stupidity of the victims (granted, though, that people knocked down because they're too busy talking on their mobiles to check that it's safe to cross, are inadvertently making a positive contribution to the species gene pool). Just to take one example, were pedestrians killed on the pavement by motor vehicles (around 10 per cent of the total) all stupid? I don't think so, and it's very dangerous to extrapolate from one possibility (that pedestrians are stupid) to the whole group. Your assertion needs evidence, Simon! |
