"Your response to Aliki is to tell hr to move. In my book that is bullying." He didn't 'tell' her to move. And it's hardly bullying, more like sensible advice given how upset Aliki seems to be. Whatever the case with the noise, it's not going to change for better or worse in the foreseeable future and the best advice would be to move. What's wrong with that? Incidentally, on the subject of the runways, I find that the planes are noisiest when directly above. A half mile either side is much less so. For example, it's far noiser to sit in my garden in W Putney than it is to sit on Richmond Green where the planes are much lower but further north by about a mile. Therefore (and I could be wrong) I'm not expecting the use of both runways to make a huge difference, in the same way the third runway wouldn't have affected Putney as this would have resulted in a landing path on the other side of the river. Not that I'm saying this or the runway use is something to celebrate. |
