| The continued closure of Hammersmith Bridge features from time to time on this forum in connection with Putney as a gridlocked zoom. What has become a yearly rally focussing on the closure allows people to protest about what is essentially the scandal of inactivity by the previous Conservative Government and now by the Labour Administration. The idea of further years in which the Hammersmith Bridge Rally reoccurs is depressing. It needs to be clearly understood that only pressure on the present Government may be the cause of funding being made available to solve a problem which at present seems gifted with eternal life. |
