| Mr Rose 'Of the 35 000 Palestinians who have been killed in Gaza according to the Hamas ‘Health Ministry’, it is likely that almost a half were Hamas militants, some of whom may have participated in the atrocity of October 7'. If we can take the word of Hamas which I do not as there is no means of verifying it, who really knows how many killed were women and children ? If Hamas is so full of brave fighting men and controls a vast network of underground tunnels, why were these non-combatants not better protected ? This also assumes that the IDF deliberately sought out to kill women and children. This I doubt if not least because of the bad PR such actions would create in a world already looking to paint Israel in the blackest light possible whatever it does. So why would they fall into the trap of taking the same barbaric and misogynistic approach that the Palestinians did last October ? What must be accepted is that in this stage of Israel's close contact fight to eliminate Hamas, just as was the case in Russia's fight to eject from and eliminate the Nazis in Stalingrad, many innocents will be killed in what we now euphemistically call 'collateral damage'. If Hamas is not eliminated now, it will only return to its barbaric ways later. |
