Possibly not a good time to ask the Palestinian civilian population. I suspect all they want at the present time is to stop the killing, maiming, starving and destruction of their homes, water, electricity, communications, sewage, heath facilities and have some sort of stability without being told to move every so often. What comes next in the way of governance I'd imagine is a secondary factor but perhaps Israel, its allies and neighbouring countries with a vested interest should be discussing a strategy in plan. Isn't that why the UN was formed towards the end of WWII, to rebuild European? Perhaps it now has a job to do in rebuilding the Middle East ... but perhaps the discussions have to start with an update of the UN? |
