| Apparently it is illegal to prevent the travellers who are staying illegally on the common from having free access to the common, so they have agreed to give them a key! They also apparently were informed by the travellers that they will leave on Friday. I pointed out that if the travellers are staying illegally with an untaxed vehicle which it is illegal for them to drive on the roads surely the illegallity of access is a random point but the rangers logic is they might break the barrier if not given a key! The padlocks are new. Surely, though, the conservators must know that this arrangement has been made- I am surprised they did not post this information themselves. |
