| ‘We’ don’t consider ourselves too posh to have fairs in Putney, Caroline. However, this wasn’t a nice villagey kind of fair but just a collection of dodgy rides, bright lights and hot dog stands. When I walked past on a number of occasions, all I saw were groups of equally dodgy looking visitors waiting for the bus out of Putney…nice… This has nothing to do with posh or not. I’m not ‘posh’, just someone who calls a spade a shovel and works long hours to pay my way and to try and have a decent standard of living. Being someone who doesn’t appreciate people who don’t pay their own way and just spread misery wherever they decide to park their caravans doesn’t make me posh. Also, as someone who was unfortunate enough to be victim of theft by travellers, I’m not exactly jumping for joy that I have new neighbours and will be very glad when they go. |
