Lucille, you have completely missed the point of my quoting Balfour in particular: of course the Jewish immigrants integrated seamlessly into British life and - and this is what I was using to indicate the parallel, that I have no doubt the same will happen now, just as the Ugandan Asians have. Incidentally, your complaint that immigrants now receive 'handouts' whilst the Jewish immigrants managed without them rather falls when you realise that there were no handouts then. And your assertion of anti-semitism on my part is not only wrong, it is grossly, offensively wrong. |
