| As a much maligned car user, on this occasion I'm actually with the cyclists. Plenty of notice given, only one Sunday per year, lovely & quiet around the High St, cracking atmospehere watching, trains and tubes all working, and having been very much aware of it for months, I was fortunately able to ensure I didn't have to go anywhere today except on foot. I can see how this will have shifted chaos elswhere - perhaps what we really need next year to prevent that is the whole of London vehicle free for one day! Roll on the reactions to that idea... |
