| Call me a cynic but with so many nuLab MP's having trousered as much they could in tax free "expenses" of varying degrees of dubiousness and about to lose their seats - wouldn't it be an amazing coincidence if the expense allowances were replaced with a substantially higher salary on which to base their "final salary" pensions and their resettlement grants (min 50% of final salary) to allow them to "adjust to non-parliamentary life" - ie having to work for a living and paying for their own food, living costs and travel. No wonder they don't want to call an election until this is in place !!!! |
