| What a mess! I've had a low opinion of many of our MPs for a long time due to their double standards, lack of accountability, incompetence, spin and now their very dubious expense claims. I dont know if it's the best solution, but I propose that MPs salaries shoudl be increased to about £80k and their expenses drastically reduced. For most MPs the idea of designating their London homes as the principal private residence is nonsense, the constituency home should be their PPR and any profit on the sale of the London home should be suject to capital gains tax. What do you think Putney? And as for government/civil service pensions...what a joke! |
