| " The point I'm highlighting is that there is a conflict with LTN and having the 430 every 6 mins (12 in each direction) go up and down the Dover House Road. " Ah, I see. That's the "perfect solution fallacy". You seem to decided that unless a child can play safely in the middle of Dover House Road then the scheme is obviously useless as there will still be buses going up and down Dover House Road and therefore the hypothetical child is at risk. The goal of the LTN scheme is to improve safety for residents/pedestrians/cyclists not eradicate all danger. It's not a "No Traffic Neighbourhood" scheme. It's a "Low Traffic Neighbourhood" scheme. There will still be traffic, just less than there was before by removing the through traffic. If you really believe that 8 tonnes even at low speed may be fatal then why aren't you campaigning for all buses/HGVs to be taken off all roads? |
