SOME JUSTICE! FoPC told the council months ago that the planning application was illegal. The council simply ignored this. I wonder how much money it wasted on pursuing this now defunct application and instructing extra solicitors - but then it's our money to waste not theirs, so they don't care. How can an entire planning department get it so wrong? And where were our local councillors during all this? Backing the council and the planning deparment full hilt depsite being made fully aware that it was illegal. I hope the council and the councillors realise that there are many residents who will be watching them like hawks if and when they submit another planning application. It's a scandal - and the council should be ashamed of itself for trying to push a planning application through when it knew all along it was illegal. |
