Andy, there is nothing to retract and nothing that I need to apologise for Unlike Wandsworth who both lied and were deceitful in the planning process, and unlawfully ignored planning law. Or possibly the WPCC should apologise for unlawfully selling part of the common, the very land that they are meant to protect under an Act of Parliament The points about the unsuitability of the site in terms of the threat to the health of primary school children are entirely legitimate, and should at least be investigated or understood by the authorities, not totally ignored, as they have been. A professor at a UK University, who was part of the Aphekom study, first question to me when I called him was "What was the result of the Environmental Impact Assessment?". When I explained that Wandsworth had not done one, he replied that it was "totally irresponsible". And tellingly he knows the site, as he used to live in Putney. |
