Mr Hawkes,  those donations were to a party, not an individual. A £5M donation to an individual is, surely, different? Mr Farage seems unclear whether this was for his security or a "thank you" for Brexit; to me that seems proof it's the wealth that have gained from Brexit, not the majority of people. Why else would one give a £5M thank you?

Some on this forum seemed upset that Sir Kier and others were given presents of smart clothes when representing our country, even though all of those were properly declared. Given that other countries give their politicians clothes allowances it didn't seem an unreasonable gift in the circumstances? 

Perhaps I sense some hypocrisy regarding gifts. Obviously, fraud is a different matter.
