Up there with the defence of the boy rapists which was "they were too young to understand and have responsibility for their crimes". Today Jack the Ripper would put the 'metal health issue' defence case forward. And probably get off on it. Murrell was one of the enormous members of the ever expanding political and activist class who have never had a real job. Particularly a large one in Scotland subsidised in its 'progressive policies' by English taxpayers. It's just that he was a crook and used the cover of 'public service' to put his hand in the till. And his poor 'Wee, sleekit, cowran, tim'rous beastie' of a wife with a similar progressive (sic) claim to public adulation, and a solely political career throughout life, knew nothing about it ! "Darling, some generous supporter for Scottish independence has just kindly left a £100,000 camper van for us on the drive. Now we can drive to Brussels when we are independent of England and in the EU". Now however for her as well 'O, what a panic's in thy breastie!' And "I knew nothing of these financial frauds. I am only a little woman and far too busy on other matters". Great statement from one always banging on about equality for women challenged by misogyny. Note how quickly she has dropped him. Like a hot tattie ! |
