And the views of the parents of kids at schools who'll lose funding so this other set of parents or interest groups can indulge their own whims don't matter either? I'm sure that you don't really mean that Suzanne, do you? There's no such thing as what you call "non-politicised education". I gave six examples in my previous comment as to why. For you to oppose what you call "social engineering" - and what I call equality of opportunity - is a case in point. Free schools are the most political education idea there's been for a generation. For reference, the idea stems from a rather obscure, right-wing philosopher called Robert Nozick. |
