| Ed has shown the reasons why a good management company is necessary (it can be the freeholders) and a sinking fund is always necessary not only for sudden repairs needed such as a new lift or roof repairs etc but also routine ones. Keeping service charges really low and then suddenly presenting leaseholders with thousands of pounds worth of repair bills can obviously be a big problem and cause bad feeling. Some structure is needed. |
