From: john cameron Sent: 25 May 2017 11:31 To: 'wwilliams@wandsworth.gov.uk' Subject: River Terrace abutting 105-115 Deodar Road SW15 2NU – WBC Planning application 2017/2707 Dear Wendy River Terrace abutting 105-115 Deodar Road SW15 2NU – WBC Planning application 2017/2707 – HMLR title TGL3290 I refer to our telephone call this morning. I understand that Wandsworth are the owners of the freehold of land referred to in planning application 2017/2707. Attached is the title plan and register of the land in question, which I have obtained from HMLR. The land is owned with title absolute by THE MAYOR AND BURGESSES OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF WANDSWORTH of Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SE18 2PU. The planning application states that Wandsworth BC’s Kevin Joyce was consulted by the applicant, and it appears there may be an agreement, subject to a change of use being granted for the land to be sold. I strongly object to the sale of public land, which abuts and forms part of the Riverside Walk of Wandsworth Park. However, if the land is to be sold I would wish to have the opportunity to acquire it. Since I was a small boy I have dreamed of owning a piece of land fronting the River Thames, and as you can imagine, it is rare to find an opportunity like this. I wouldn’t need any change of use, unlike the applicant, who wishes to incorporate the land into their private garden. My proposal for the land would that it have public access, so that everyone can enjoy it. In view of my interest can you please forward this email to your colleague who is dealing with the disposal. It would be helpful to have an indication of the price required by Wandsworth, whether the land is being sold freehold or leasehold, the length and principle terms of the lease and the timetable for bidding. I look forward to an early response. Many thanks John Cameron |
