Thank you for these interesting posts Faye. I cannot remember what percentage of the clients we were told were dogs when we met the Council approx 12 years ago, but if you are saying that it is half of the animals taken there, then there has clearly been a big increase in the number of dogs being taken to the hospital. This has been evident to me as a local resident, and your post confirms what I thought. Just count the number of dogs in the queue at opening time, they definitely seem to outnumber the cats these days. The first priority of Wandsworth Council has to be the safety of pedestrians in the vicinity of the animal hospital and keeping the public highway clear, ie the pavement. We will ask them at the meeting how they intend to achieve this. |
