I'm sorry to hear about this incident & hope that the owner of the dog responsible for the attack has been reported to the police. I would just like clarify that treatment for animals at the RSPCA hospital is not free; you have to be in receipt of certain benefits to be eligible to use the service & are charged a consultation fee & for any medication prescribed & procedures undertaken. Yes it is considerably cheaper than private vets, which I have also used & found to be more concerned in making as much money in treating your pet as possible. I have to agree that there are dog owners using the hospital who do not act responsibly & clean up after their dogs & keep them under control & it's unfair for those of us who use the service who are responsible to be labelled in the same way. I also agree that the hospital should have more control over where people wait outside, especially as it is located in a residential area. Have residents approached WBC about this situation? |
