The problem is that only a tiny minority of Putney residents visit this forum regularly. How will everyone else find out about this and other important applications when faced with a non-working website? Let me guess: they will give up. They will think "oh, I'll try again in a couple of days" and when it still doesn't work then, they will shrug their shoulders and eventually give up. Which, although it may not be what our planners intended, will sure make life much easier for them - and for the applicants. Now, is this a satisfactory state of affairs, Messrs Lister, Torrington and Maddan - my own Thamesfield councillors? And if you are tempted to issue the stock reply of "every effort being made... hopes the website will be fully operational before long", etc., please note that that is an inadequate response: no application should go live while the system effectively prevents the citizens from finding out about them. |
