| In response to Simon's posting - hotels aren't just for tourists. There are quite a lot of businesses in East Putney - mine being one of them - and it's always a problem to find afforable hotel accommodation for our visitors. Best Western Putney Lodge now costs about £150 per room per night so hopefully Travelodge will be a bit more realistic in their pricing. Business visitors spend quite a bit too. For tourists, central London is only 40 mins away and Wimbledon even less. To me it makes a lot of sense to have another hotel in the area. The sooner the 60's horrors are knocked down the better. |
