| absolutely, Patricia. the caveat must be that the building is in keeping with the scale you mention, however travelodge will not likely be getting richard rogers to design it! in my opinon, any (reasonable) development that brings human traffic to the area, with its follow on benefits for local business and employment, is a winner. i recall that when olivetti occupied the site, they sponsored a semi successful partial development of EP stn -albeit in a dubious 80's Italianate style. a nice gesture, i think. perhaps the new inhabitant might consider a similarly public minded contribution. |
