| I have said time and again that I fully support a ceasefire now in order to end this bloodshed. I think the best chance for a sustained peace is though negotiation. An essential part of any deal would be the dismantling of Hamas. I would also assume that many Israelis would want Netanyahu to be protected from any charges; if that was a price to pay (and a very bitter pill to swallow for many) than, in my opinion, so be it. I think the military strategy has well and truly run it's course and continuing down this road will not only harm many more Palestinians, but it also increase the risk to many Israelis and Jews throughout the World, it also fails the hostages who have been badly let down by Netanyahu. That is my opinion. A two state solution where both Palestinians and Israelis have a right to live in a peace without being sacrificial pawns to politicians, terrorists or jaded ideologies. It may be too late for many, but it is not too late for future generations. |
