Racist councillors might be the least of Farage's problems if the electoral commission did suspend him. I don't suppose if the was a by-election in Clacton Andy Burham would be standing there. https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/nigel-farage-by-election-clacton-406026/ It does raise the question of whether the £5M for his security has been ring fenced so it can be accounted for separately to prove it was a "gift" purely for the purpose of paying for his security? Presumably if he ever did become Prime Minister and has his security paid for by UK tax payers he will donate it to HMRC to cover those payments, or at least give it to a charity? Otherwise it seems he's will always be tainted by it. |
