Hi Ivonne
I don't understand the comment that 'YouGov clearly state that their polls are not representative of national opinion'. How could a polling organisation possibly make such a statement, which would undermine their very raison d'etre? How could they possibly know what the 'national opinion' is except through a properly conducted survey?

The survey on attitudes to the conflict in Gaza was conducted in February 2024 on 2092 British adults of different ages and from different social classes. On the question of whether the attack by Hamas on October 7 was justified, 4% replied 'justified', 75% replied 'unjustified' and 21% said 'don't know'. Obviously a clear majority disapprove of the attack, but the figure of 4% who support Hamas is worrying. 4% of British adults amount to around 2 million individuals.
