Mr Carter 'strategic control (what the mayor has) and operational control (the purview of the Commissioner, Mark Rowley)' Perhaps you could enlighten us with examples of these different types of control especially with reference to the pro-Palestine marches. Would also be interested in your comments on the fact that the pro-Palestine movement has now joined a new alliance with protest groups linked to Just Stop Oil called 'Energy Embargo for Palestine' which closed down the British Museum yesterday. Probably a group that Palestine backer Saudi Arabia will not affiliate with ! Seems to me there is great potential for an all embracing protest group covering everything everybody either supports or objects to. I'd march against Fulham FC selling Paulinho to Bayern Munich and to support the right of Keir Starmer to reaffirm that '99.9% of women 'haven't got a penis' even though it must seem insulting to the 0.1% of women that do. But then this latter minority group could also join the march. Anyone have other issues that they firmly support or oppose and would wish to declare publically in a 'March for and against everything' next Saturday ? |
