Hello everyone, I agree with all of you!! My son played "for" Rosslyn Park when he was 6 years old till he started "senior" school, when he had to play for them. Rosslyn Park is the most delightful club and is incredibly close to our hearts, for more reasons than one!! We are even considering rejoining, as golden oldies, just to go and watch the matches. Having said this, the hoardings are horrific! They are like drive-in cinema screens - utterly horrible. You drive through pastoral places between Putney and Richmond and, in the middle of it, it suddenly hits you. Those wretched hoardings! They are hoardings that would fit very well in California but not here. Rosslyn Park needs to increase its income with advertising, understandable and I would never say no. But a compromise must be found between the need to raise income and the unsightly hoardings! I had a really nasty, even offending thought! What about putting these hoardings around the Barnes pond? And giving the proceeds to Rosslyn Park? Any thoughts anyone? Facetious??? Completely!!!! |
