The voluntary sales programme was that the scheme whereby people looking for a home were able to buy council properties as they became empty? We lived on URR during the 1980s and 1990s and the lovely old detached house next door was split into 2 flats. The scheme was only open to people who weren't already home owners and were living in Wandsworth. I am not sure if the properties had a discount, but they always seemed to be a good price. What happened to this scheme? |
