| Andy I can only speak for myself and I certainly did not know this was going on. I always believed the RTB scheme was an excellent way for long term council tenants to become home owners, which they would not have been able to achieve otherwise. It did not deplete the number of available social housing because they were already living in the property and it took the burden of maintenance away from the Council so it was a win win situation for all. I personally had two friends who were able to take advantage of RTB and it was the only way they were able to get on the property ladder and I still think RTB was excellent when used as it was meant to be used. |
