| Freedom of movement was one of the most controversial aspects of EU membership, which contributed to the Leave vote. Andy Burnham assured the voters of Makerfield that he respected the result of the Referendum and would not be revisiting the issue of Brexit. Now he says that he wants to reconsider freedom of movement, suggesting that the UK could go 'all the way' and rejoin the EU. If that is not betrayal, what is the meaning of the word? |
