"Traffic especially buses are far too heavy for this bridge and which caused the problems in the first place." It was less that the bridge wasn't capable of taking the weight than the mechanisms to protect the integrity of the bridge were not properly maintained. A large amount has now been spent on stabilisation to allow motor vehicles to use it again including buses. By the time it is properly open, all the buses in London are likely to be electric and they are heavier so I would assume  that ultimately it will be able to carry them and hopefully more than one at a time.
