Try reading the link I put.  When other methods are more accessible and better they get used more.  Our cities weren't built for everyone to have a car.  There isn't room and the majority of our children don't feel the same want or need to own one - they feel they are more of a liability, worry and cost.

You've got great - well mostly great pavements - which you don't want wrecked by cars and lorries driving over.

I'm surprised you haven't got some sort of rickshaw transport sorted out over Hammersmith Bridge yet if you are so very desperate to cross that way.   Aren't there delivery bikes crossing?
