Perhaps you could explain why we should take any notice of someone who blatantly and sanctimoniously breaks the law. When will cyclists stop justifying cycling on the pavement with the figures of their accidents. Lorries are seen as the evil monsters but how many times do cyclists undertake vehicles and expect someone to see them. How many times do cyclists warn of their approach by using a bell. I live in a very, very quiet street and, still, cyclist go at speed down the pavement and round a blind corner. We have several elderly residents, some with poor eyesight, some with poor mobility or hearing. When cyclists start showing some respect, maybe they will get respect. Do push bikers criticise motor cyclists for going on the pavements? After all they have the same justification and have 2 wheels. I'm sure many of us will have seen scooters and motorbikes on the pavement - at what point does one say that the law should be obeyed? |
