Neil, why don't you subscribe to the tunnel.putney@gmail.com distribution list. Once you are on the list you will receive a plethora of information from STS and from Thames Water. It started as a small protest group from a few local people, but we now have so many highly experienced people in technical, legal, civil engineering, water experts and many other respected professions who can give far better facts, figures and arguments than I. And believe me, there are plenty of them. Most of the group are working full time in their 'day jobs' and putting in so many hours on the protest group. If there was somebody who could volunteer to set up a website it would be wonderful. There are now many papers researched and published and you could have access to these if you wish. We are pushing for independent experts, as it seems TW outsourced their original exploratory search for sites and the job was done by the letter, ie, find a place to sink a shaft, no thought of the environment, people living in very close proximity, etc. We have also discovered this is not a tunnel in the sense of taking away effluent, but a septic tank for storage. Please take an interest, there is so much to read and learn about, a real eye-opener! |
