I hope he's talking to Alison. I'm not sure the Stop The Shaft website would be much good if I wrote it! I do think that Alison or someone else should write an STS website though. At the moment they seem to be relying on a very brief facebook page, and a slightly longer petition page, plus some advertising on this site. I'd like to see the STS arguments set out logically, corroborated with sources, statements by independent experts and so on. I'd be much more inclined to believe them then. Alison seems to be able to articulate the arguments without resorting to hysteria, but all the STS arguments seems anecdotal and based on individual layman's opinions. If STS is serious they should get organised and produce some better documented reasoning, otherwise they are not going to be able to persuade me and several others on this site, let alone the wider public, or the public policy decision makers. |
