| You can't win though. If I ring my bell I get told that I'm being rude and I should use my voice and say "Excuse me" rather the ringing a bell at them. If I use my voice and say "Excuse me" I get told I should get a bell. If I do both I get told I'm being very rude and impatient (despite doing this from a reasonable distance away and slowing down considerably). I try and avoid shared use facilities wherever possible, and I reserve my use of the incredibly loud air-horn just for the people oblivious to the world (usually the lemmings that walk into the road without looking first). |
