Dear Mr Carter, I am no sure what planet you are from but it would appear from the planet Perfect. Your thread assumes that everyone is physically able to ride a bike or walk. I am generally reasonably able to do both but a health issue deems that I absolutely could not do either and transport shopping at the same time. Further, if you cannot plan your general shopping for a week in advance I question your abilities to funtion in the real world...and you clearly need to learn how to store your groceries if they perish within a week! The only shopping I need to do during the week is extra milk and to accomodate the requirements of unexpected guests. Putney Sainsburys has imposed a 15 minute limit on a quick shop and I along with others question the ability of the store to provide sufficient staff to assist customers source products from half empty shelves, seek slightly more obscure items, purchase them, load the car and pay & exit within 15 minutes...particularly with people forgetting to validate their parking ticket at check out. Having spoken to a store manager (who was clearly very frustrated at HQ's beligerant attitude to their customers) it is clear that J Sainsburys has yet again decided on a course of action/supply/everything else which does not reflect the requirement of their customers in general. As a supplier and to their suppliers they are (in general) bullies, incompetent and ....less said the better. I favour Richmond but through necessity need to call into Werter Road on occasion and so wish this were not the case even though the staff are charming and helpful. |
