| I have to agree with Richard. We are all too used to using cars for short journeys. You see it every day when the traffic backs up - most of it is private cars with one person in. The new Sainsburys Local on URR has parking for two cars but no bicycles (though the manager tells me he is trying to get the landlord to allow him to put in some cycle parking stands). Meanwhile there is unseemly fighting for the two car spaces. Why not treat it literally as a 'Local' and walk or cycle to it? If you go every day then you will not need to buy more than a few things and there's also less chance you will over-buy and then waste what you have bought. |
