It's safe to say that 80% of cyclists/red lights encounters (I'm not saying 80% of cyclists) end up in no stop, at best slowing down, checking for pedestrians and still going through. The importance of keeping momentum is a huge contributing factor so some red lights will see this 80% become 50% or 95% because of the pain of starting again from 0 mph... I don't see a quick solution but some cities in France have started giving PCNs by the hundreds which works wonders. |
