Thank you Michael. I am very pleased indeed that Hamza is still in prison - what a horrible man he is, in my view. The issue of statelessness is so complicated, from the Nansen passports till 1938 to whatever is issued today. Perhaps this is why the UK, and other EU Member States, were stating that countries receiving refugees/immigrants since 2015 had to register them there... The truth is that in the case of Shamima Begum, the UK government cannot delegate its obligations to another country, being born in the UK even if she has dual nationality. It seems to me, and only me may I add, that the chicken has come home to roost.... |
