| I can see Sharon Wright's point about why the recycling banks have been withdrawn, a few inconsiderate gits have ruined it for everybody else which is often the case unfortunately. Perhaps the ordinary bins weren't being used enough to justify the cost of maintaining them, so they are being phased out also? There are some truly disgusting people around who would rather sling their litter on the ground instead of binning it. Chewing gum is the worst yuck of all. 😡 I imagine that Waste Services have to work within a tight budget, like many other departments, in order to keep Council Tax low, but it's a shame to sacrifice the cleanliness and appearance of the borough for a relatively small saving. |
