"St John's Avenue is not a designated crossing point."

Google Street View shows a crossing point with dropped kerbs and a step-free gap in the central barrier.

But in the rush hour, I would have thought that an extra 3 minutes to walk down to Upper Richmond Road and back would be the sensible route.  Weaving around stationary buses with the buggy in front is a bad example to one's child of how to cross a busy main road.
