| Yes, it was where the sports car crashed, tragically killing its driver. St John's Avenue is not a designated crossing point. It was constructed to prevent motorists from driving across Putney Hill from one part of St John's avenue to the other, a dangerous operation which in the past had led to a number of serious accidents. |
