| "refusing in advance to allow Trump to use Britush* bases to attack Iran on the grounds that such an attack would contravene international law, even though the Iranian government killed 30 000 of its own citizens over two weeks in January and clearly intends to develop a nuclear bomb" Perhaps "brutish" was the intended word. Anyway, Mr Rose is apparently happy to demand that Britain puts its forces and indeed the country at risk in order to obey the demands of the mad King Trump in his desire to smash one country which has killed thousands of civilians and just might be developing nuclear weapons, while Trump's country has for decades pumped billions of dollars into another country which has killed tens of thousands of civilians and actually has material for up to 200 nuclear weapons, with an estimated 90 existing warheads. And, of course, Mr Rose claims to care for the rights of the deported Chagossians (it helps his attack on Labour), but he does not care what they might think about this use of their island. He does not care about deported or "transferred" original inhabitants who get in the way of colonial powers or other Europeans. |
