re: Councillor Maddan's statement "cram more and more children into the existing schools Hotham and Brandlehow" - can someone please explain to me how this would be allowed to happen. OLV has a maximum class size of 28, so I have been told, presumably because of the restrictions of the site, but Hotham and Brandlehow can accept more and more children, without it seems any upper limit. I really don't understand this and would appreciate someone explaining why? The largest waiting lists in Thamesfield are for the faith schools. All Saints has a fairly large site, isn't there room for expansion there? Why are Hotham and Brandlehow the 2 schools that would have to take on extra pupils, if the free school does not go ahead? |
